Sending Emails does not work #15

Seems that the board doesn't send emails any longer
PM notifications got through before the update but not any longer. Also, a user tried sending me a test email but it didn't get through
The test email through Client communication > Email settings doesn't work either.

Previously, it has been possible to send email to the users using the "Send email to USERNAME" button under user profile. Also, the board has sent a notification email when a PM has arrived if the user has selected this in their control panel (e.g. Board preferences > Edit notification options). I'm not sure whether I've used the former in the past but the latter has been activated for me. It needs to be noted, though, that the former can be switched off by the user. After the update, I haven't received notification emails about the PMs and I just heard from someone else that he hasn't received either. I asked him to send me a test email using "Send email to TuomoH" but I didn't get one. I then logged in to ACP. Under General > Client communication > Email settings we still have emails enabled. I tried clicking "Send a test email" but didn't receive one. I don't know about the other settings so I don't want to mess with them.
Long story short, it seems as if we have emails enabled but for some reason they don't leave. This also reminded me that I sent a message to Longbow about his websites using that button and also selected "Send a copy of this email to yourself." I never got the copy and now I'm guessing Longbow didn't get the email either.
