Thank you for applying to InfiNet. This network, which is fully-named The
International Freedom of Information Network, is dedicated towards all
intelligent members of the computer world.
This application is quite ridiculously simple. Fill it out, and rename it to
something associated with your bbs (ie - if your BBS is called 'Hell's Gate',
rename it to HELLGATE.APP). Once done, send the completed file to Infinite
Darkness (69:100/100 or Fido 1:369/23) via Freq or Netmail, where it will be
evaluated. That's all there is to it.
NOTE: If you are unable to transmit files via your front-end mailer, simply
call Infinite Darkness at 305-792-9622, login as username "INFINET" and
password "DEATH" (without quotes. Phone = 0000, DOB = 00/00/00, if
necessary), and upload it via the file transfer section.
Currently, InfiNet is accepting ALL applicants. The only requirement is that
you read the network rules and policy, and agree to follow them. Once your
node has been added to the nodelist, you will be crashmailed the InfiNet
Starter Kit, which includes your node number, the node number of your hub,
current polling and setup instructions, and the current InfiNet InfoPack.
NOTE: If your system is NOT crashmail capable, the alternate means which you
specified within this application will be used to notify you. Please note,
however, that it is STRONGLY recommended that you keep your mailer online 24
hours (crashmail capable), as it is simply good etiquette, and will make your
BBS more accessable, in the event of any emergency or changes in polling.
That's all there is to it. If anyone has any questions, call Mitch Waas
(Midnight Sorrow) at 305-797-1411, between 6pm and midnight weekdays, or
anytime before midnight on the weekends, United States Eastern Standard time.
Oh, and, please don't call at 3am. He'll be asleep.

Now, you must pick your host. Which host you choose determines your
node number, and where you will call for mail. Please try and pick a
host in your part of the country. (ie, if you are in California, it
would probably be best for you to poll 69:400/100, the Western Host.)
Any systems located outside of North America may feel free to choose ANY
of the currently listed hubs or hosts, based purely on convenience.

If you are expecting very heavy message activity, then you may poll
directly from Infinite Darkness, InfiNet World Host, at 69:100/100,
as there are SIX lines available for maximum ease and minimum hassle.
