+The `transform.HTMLEscape` function escapes five special characters by replacing them with [HTML entities]:
+
+- `&` → `&`
+- `<` → `&lt;`
+- `>` → `&gt;`
+- `'` → `&#39;`
+- `"` → `&#34;`
+
+For example:
+
+```go-html-template
+{{ htmlEscape "Lilo & Stitch" }} → Lilo &amp; Stitch
+{{ htmlEscape "7 > 6" }} → 7 &gt; 6
+```
