* On course creation, make sure that we can enable relative dates mode
only when the site setting is enabled.
* On course update, make sure that the relative dates mode setting
cannot be changed.
This is intended to visually separate hidden course from open
courses in the course overview block
by applying a "Hidden from students" tag to the various views in
this block.
To achive this, the course summary exporter's output must be
augmented with a "visiblity" attribute,
carrying the given course's corresponding visibility setting.
Since the exporter now expects this data point as part of its input,
the output of the course_get_recent_courses()
function had to also be augmented with the course visibility setting
to provide this value.
This commit is part of work on Custom fields API,
to minimize commit history in moodle core the work of a team of developers was split
into several commits with different authors but the authorship of individual
lines of code may be different from the commit author.
We should only call this function when a user actually views a course. It is not called
automatically when a course context is validated from a webservice. It is called directly
from the core_course_view_course webservice.

Thanks to MDL-49398, we can separate the combined user session and role
definition cache clearing function into two separate functions. At the
same time, we want to identify and remove mark_dirty() calls that were
added for role definition changes but were incorrectly left behind.
Change highlights:
- Remove unnecessary mark_dirty() calls performed after
assign_capability(), unassign_capability(), delete_role(),
deleted contexts, brand new contexts
- Move role definition cache clear from the user-centric
accesslib_clear_all_caches() to the newly created,
role-dedicated accesslib_reset_role_cache()
Instead of using set_coursemodule_name() to proceed with the name
change we perform the change earlier in the process, both to avoid
duplicate events caused by the renaming function and also to get the new
name used by all proper generated events.
Once a course is approved the startdate and enddate were not set properly
This patch sets current date as startdate and enddate is startdate +
default duration of the course
Triggering a fatal error in an adhoc task is bad. It will be retried indefinitely.
Even though we are not sure how to get a module instance without a course module record,
it is possible and should not kill the Moodle site.
- Users without permission to download or restore won't see the
respective links.
- The 'Manage backup files' button for the 'automated' backup filearea
now requires the same permissions as downloading does for this filearea,
those being 'restore:userinfo' and 'backup:downloadfile'.
