When search returns no results there is no need to go inside the if statement. Since $result_count becomes zero, $start becomes negative which leads to failed assertion. PHPBB3-11437

INSTALLING DEPENDENCIES
To be able to run an installation from the repo (and not from a pre-built package) you need to run the following commands to install phpBB's dependencies.
cd phpBB
php ../composer.phar install --dev
